Kanbino is a product of Waypointer Digital BV (Chamber of Commerce: 99948710), established in the Netherlands. We value the protection of your personal data. In this privacy policy, we explain which data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

2. What data do we collect?

When using Kanbino, we process the following personal data:

Account data — name, email address and password (stored encrypted)
Profile data — optional profile photo and display name
Usage data — created tasks, projects, time registrations and other content you enter in Kanbino
Technical data — IP address, browser type and device information for security and debugging

3. Why do we collect this data?

To provide the Kanbino service and manage your account
To improve the application and detect errors
To inform you about important changes to the service
To comply with legal obligations

4. Legal basis

We process personal data based on:

Performance of the contract — necessary to provide the service
Legitimate interest — for security, debugging and improvement of the service
Consent — when applicable, for example for optional communication

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell your data. We only share data with service providers necessary for the operation of Kanbino:

Hetzner (Germany) — server hosting within the EU
Scaleway (Netherlands) — file storage (S3 object storage) within the EU
Bunny.net (Slovenia) — Content Delivery Network (CDN) within the EU
Mailbino (self-hosted, Hetzner Germany) — for sending and receiving transactional emails
Stripe — for payment processing (where applicable)

Data processing agreements have been concluded with all these parties.

6. Storage and security

All data is stored on servers within the European Union (Hetzner, Germany; Scaleway, Netherlands). Files are delivered accelerated via Bunny.net (EU). We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), encrypted password storage and regular backups.

7. Retention period

We retain your data as long as you have an active account. After deletion of your account, personal data will be deleted within 30 days, unless we are legally required to retain them longer.

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

Access — request an overview of your personal data
Correction — have incorrect data corrected
Deletion — request deletion of your data
Portability — receive your data in a structured format
Objection — object to certain processing activities
